At Monday’s school board meeting, our academic calendar was amended at the request of district leadership. These updates were made with the goal of better supporting our students’ success and overall academic experience.
Please review the following changes:
New Teacher Orientation Day: July 30
Start time adjusted from 7:35 a.m. to 7:45 (Elementary/Middle School) 7:50 a.m. (High School) (consistent with this past year)
Two Professional Development Days have been converted to Instructional Days to better prepare for STAAR exams
Two Professional Development Days have been replaced with a student/teacher holidays for Monday, August 17 and Monday, April 19

As we get closer to the end of the school year, we would like to take a minute to let you know that your student's Yondr Pouch will be turned in, and then reissued next year. If the Yondr Pouch is broken, please let us know now. We will be reordering replacements for next year. The replacement fee for your pouch is $50, as noted in the document you received at the beginning of the year. The pouch, or your payment is due by Tuesday, April 28th. If you choose not to pay that fee, the student will have to turn their phone into the office every day until the replacement fee is paid, at which time a new one will be issued to you.
