Hello Wolfe City Parents and
Students:
My name is Mrs. Gavlick. I am the
new Elementary and Middle School counselor. I am excited
to be part of the Wolfe City team, and look forward to
working with your child this school year. I have been a
classroom teacher for nine years in grades 1-12, and am
beginning my first year as a school counselor. I have a
B.A. in Literature from the University of California at
Santa Cruz, graduate course work in teaching from
California State University Northridge with a California
Clear Teaching Credential. I am currently finishing my
Master’s in Counseling from Texas A&M Commerce. As you
might have guessed, I am originally from California, and
moved to Texas five years ago with my husband. We don’t
have children of our own, but a niece and nephew that we
love to spoil! We also have many farm animals that keep
us busy! We love living in Texas, and especially enjoy
country life. My main goals this year are: to help your
child reach his or her academic potential, and to
enhance his or her personal and social development. I am
available for academic and personal counseling, and
parent consultations by appointment. If you have any
questions or concerns about your child or the counseling
program, please feel free to contact me during school
hours. I am located in room 305 at the Middle school,
and located in the Speech room on the Elementary campus.
I am on the Middle School campus: Mondays, Tuesdays, and
Wednesday mornings; and on the Elementary campus:
Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays, and Fridays. I can be
reached at (903) 496-7333 Ext. 19 or 25, or by email at:

Best Wishes for a successful
2007-2008 school year!
Sincerely,
Dona Gavlick
